Omid Djalili’s film ‘The Infidel’, inter-spiritual work and Homer Simpson

I have been looking again at the film The Infidel as a text in inter-spirituality.

Perhaps comedians have done more to break down the barriers between religions than all of the interfaith and inter-spiritual efforts?

Omid Djalili may lead the select group and his outstanding piece is the film The Infidel.

Here is a great interview with Omid, writer David Badiel and director Josh Appignanesi.

Amongst the most interesting comments is Omid’s idea to make the lead character an everyman Homer Simpson character.

NB – start at 11mins 51secs
