What is God? The eternal One Life underneath all the forms of life

SOURCE – with thanks

You can then feel the same life deep within every other human and every other creature.

Eckhart Tolle in The Power of Now (in the section ‘From addictive to enlightened relationships’) says;

Love is a state of Being. Your love is not outside; it is deep within you. You can never lose it, and it cannot leave you. It is not dependent on some other body, some external form.

In the stillness of your presence, you can feel your own formless and timeless reality as the unmanifested life that animates your physical form.

You can then feel the same life deep within every other human and every other creature.

You look beyond the veil of form and separation. This is the realization of oneness. This is love.

What is God? The eternal One Life underneath all the forms of life.

What is love? To feel the presence of that One Life deep within yourself and within all creatures. To be it.

Therefore, all love is the love of God.

Like almost everything else from Tolle that he writes or speaks this piece is stunning. It contains almost everything you need to realize abut the life spiritual.

I am left wondering however "what is the difference between ‘your presence’ and ‘presence’?"

If they are different ‘how’?

If they are the same – so be it.

They must ultimately be the same?

  1. “Your presence” = Self Awareness?

To be able to perceive your-Self from another position in space? Much like when you see yourself in a mirror you recognize that it is you that you are seeing, first at a very basic and fundamental level because you have autonomy over the reflections movement, but then on a much deeper level when you realize that it is not YOU that you see in the mirror. It is only the image of your materialized body.

    “Presence” = Non-Self Awareness?

When the “I” disappears into the background and you merge with the present moment and everything in it. When that presence without “You” exists as the only thing, you don’t sense yourself as being separate from the perceived, you don’t even experience your-Self as being PART of the moment but you ARE the moment and everything that exists within it.

This experience can be achieved through meditation on no-Thing or on some-Thing. Meditation on No-Thing means that you merge with Every-Thing because borders cease to exist whilst meditation on Some-Thing means you erase the borders between You and another Thing “out there”. This is what Art is about, Appreciating the experience only obtainable in a dual state of presence where your “I” (eye) can SEE your-Self manifest in an-Other form…

Am I making sense or am I talking NON-sense? :O
