Letting Go – poem – image juxtaposition

Letting Go
let it go – the
smashed word broken
open vow or
the oath cracked length
wise – let it go it
was sworn to
let them go – the
truthful liars and
the false fair friends
and the boths and
neithers – you must let them go they
were born
to go
let all go – the
big small middling
tall bigger really
the biggest and all
things – let all go
so comes love

~ e. e. cummings ~
(Complete Poems 1904-1962)

  1. my love of the beloved

    ah beloved empress
    oh most holy queen
    pardon your broken poet whose song is dulll
    tarnishing your splendor with mortality
    ah daughter
    bliss oh
    such truth such beauty such goodness such love
    my blue flame quickens in your dark desire
    my red rose blossoms in your seamless womb
    my white soul dissolves in your snowy soul
    yahweh goddess beyond god vehayah

    a snowflake dreams on the sacred mountain
    arise! harness your four stallions awake!
    with your refining fire great apollo
    melt me into laughing waters dancing
    into the blue arms of blue wonderment
    where endless water kisses endless sky
    and christ awakens in the arms of love

    with a most holy kiss of tantric fire

    mark christopher valentine
